Hello everyone and welcome to CaCaCraft by Erica! Whether it’s your first time here or you have been here before, welcome, welcome! I’m a bit excited (and quite possibly over-caffeinated) for today’s post as I’m guest designing for a brand new stamp company called Miss Ink Stamps!
There has been sneak peeks and giveaways on Instagram all week and the shop is officially launching on the 16th of March. Click HERE to go to the shop (shop isn’t going live until the 16th though) and HERE to check out their Instagram page. There is still time to enter the giveaways too, so don’t forget to do that. Everyone loves to win fab freebies, right?
I have made two cards for today, with a stamp set called Unstoppable, which features some cute dinosaurs and fun pun sentiments. These two cards are vastly different from each other for two reasons. Reason number one: The stamps only arrived yesterday at 3pm!! Yep… saying that was cutting it close isn’t even a joke. Reason number two: I made a CAS/Clean And Simple card to at least have something ready for the post today and that ended up taking less than half an hour (The beauty of CAS!)
Because I’m a big lover of blues, I decided on a blue T-Rex for this one. And also so that it works as a masculine birthday card. The image is stamped directly onto the card base.
To finish it off, I stamped ‘I’m saury. I forgot your birthday!’ in the top left corner. To balance out the card, and so that it wasn’t completely flat, I added a few matte enamel dots in the top left and bottom right corners.
So with that in the bag, I could take my time and do another one. Which turned out to be anything but CAS. Ay, Mama! I think I threw everything but the kitchen sink on it…!
The diecut panel I had ready made, and thought ‘why not use it’? So I did! Using it as a guide, I drew circles with a pencil on a Copic friendly card stock. Then I stamped the images so they would peek out of the holes in the panel.
Before colouring in the images I used an eraser to remove the pencil marks.
I completely spaced on taking lots of progress photos but I did get this one with the Copic markers I used for the lava.
This card turned out to be super difficult to photograph properly. Now that might have something to do with all the sequins and the fact it was like 10pm by the time I finished this one. I *may* have gone slightly mad with the amount of sequins…
All the images are stamped with Ink On 3 Blackout ink, it’s quickly become my go-to black ink. It’s absolutely brilliant and as well as Copic friendly, it’s also water colour friendly!
Right, with that, I’m done for the day but I will be back with another post featuring new stamp set on Saturday! Mark your calendars!
Thanks for stopping by!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
