Today’s post is a card for this week’s MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge. MFT Stamps run a weekly sketch challenge, which you can read all about on their blog. It’s a great way to juice up your mojo! This week’s sketch, MFTWSC448, looks like this:
I decided to use the fun MFT Stamps You’re Super stamp stand colouring it with Copic markers. On Copic friendly card stock I stamped up the super girl with Blackout Detail Ink from Ink On 3. I, of course, used my Mini MISTI for this to make sure I got a good coverage. This stamp set has coordinating diecuts but I decided to do a reasonably flat card today.
If you are more of a video tutorial person, I have a video up on my YouTube channel too. Hop on over there if you want to see the card making in action.
After finishing the colouring I stamped up the super girl on masking paper and fussy cut the image out. With a little bit of finesse, I added the mask to the girl and got a stencil out. The one I picked out is Rays The Roof from Heffy Doodle and it was still tacky from the Pixie Spray I used on it last time so no need to add more!
Once the ink blending was done I trimmed down the panel just a tad. It was 5.5″x4.25″ to begin with but I only trimmed down a few millimetres so that the black card base would frame the panel.
I decided to heat emboss the sentiments from the You’re Super stamp set on strips of Black Licorice card stock. To make sure they were straight I used my Mini MISTI. The embossing powder is from Ink On 3 and is called Arctic White.
With these done, it was time to assemble! Which didn’t take long actually, lol!
That’s it from me for today. I have used some compensated affiliate links in this post, which means I get a small commission from the company directly if you use these to buy yourself a something pretty *wink wink* At no extra cost to you, of course. The other links are there purely for your convenience.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you to hop on the fun with the Sketch Challenge!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
