I started out by stamping one of the snowman from the Baby, It’s Cold Outside on Copic friendly paper, with Black Hybrid Ink. With the left over ink on the stamp, I pressed some masking paper to it, to make a mask.
Using red Copics, I coloured in the Santa’s hat and robe, I went for quite the robust completion for the face as I imagine Santa being out in the cold weather a lot. The trimming on the hat I left completely white, and on the beard I used E40, E41 and W02 for some texture.
After fussycutting the mask out, and placing it on top of the Santa, I grabbed some Life Changing Blender Brushes and Distress Oxide inks in Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. The yellow and greens I used to create a northern lights look. The blues and black were used to make a dark night sky.
I also splattered some White Gold water colour paint from the Starry Color palette, all over it to make it look like stars and snow.
For the sentiment I made a boo-boo. I stamped Hello Winter, from the same Baby, It’s Cold Outside stamp set, in Black Hybrid Ink on the top. BUT you might notice that it’s very difficult to spot it… I should have heat embossed it in white instead.
Finally, I trimmed down the the whole thing to fit on top of a tag I had already cut out. This is a bottle tag from Paper Trey Ink.
With that, I’m done for today but if you want to read more about the 25 Tags Of Christmas event, go to Tracey’s blog. There are sponsors for every day and an absolute TON of inspiration from everyone taking part!
