Hi! I’m back… Again. #SorryNotSorry
Today’s post is all about the clouds! Ok, and rainbows. And a little bit of sparkle.
I do love a good cloud stencil and this one, Cloud Builder Stencil, is no exception. Add in ink blending and I’m a happy, happy gal.
The Big Ink Pads, which are 30% off until the 17th of December with the code INKPADS30, blend beautifully. I took the lightest one of each colour, from top to bottom: Slumber, Sky Blue, Ocean Breeze, Mint, Fresh Pear, Lemon Whip, Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef, Ballet Slipper and Soft Lilac. I did also add in Sparkling Rose, which is the second lightest pink.
This is actually Neenah Solar White #110 card stock and the inks blend amazingly!
Blender Brushes is not for everyone, but for me, they have totally changed my ink blending world. I didn’t always get such good results with the foam pad style tool, but I have always loved the look so I am so happy about the results I get from the brushes. I have both the ones from Taylored Expressions as well as a jungle of Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios, and I can recommend them both.
After I finished with the ink blending, I decided to add some sparkle to the panel with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone. I used the Cloud Builder Stencil as a guide and added the Glimmer Paste to about every other cloud line.
This one I haven’t finished into a card, because I’m that weirdo that doesn’t actually use all my backgrounds. Especially the ones I really love! Oh well, I might just put that on my notice board for colourful inspiration.
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this post as well. I am actually planning on putting up both a more condensed YouTube video for this, as well as a ‘real time’ video so you can see exactly the speed I’m going at when ink blending to get the results I’m getting.
Los of love and happy crafting from Erica
